Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st of October, 1995 in Berkeley, California, USA. She is an actress, well-known as the actress behind Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).
Asia Argento began her career as an actor at the age of nineteen in Rome. Her family also comprises of filmmakers. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her first role. Red Wood Pigeon, the film that she played Nanni Moretti's little daughter was released a year later. It came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career take off. Cannes International Film Festival received the movie well. In Trauma she worked for the first time with her father, famed Italian filmmaker of horror Dario Argento her mother is one of the most beloved actresses by Argento, Daria Nicolodi, playing an obese girl who is in search of her parents' killer. She produced two shorts, an episode from De Generazione. The following year, 1996, Asia made a document about her father. In 1998 was the year that Asia produced a feature film on Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), which received an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia's first feature-length film directed by her was Scarlet Diva where she was the main actress and wrote the screenplay. The film premiered in May 2000 in Italy and the rest of the world. The Williamsburg Film festival held in Brooklyn, New York awarded it with a prize.
